Partner, Private Client Services

Cassandra specialises in private client services at Belper, and is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners after successfully passing all of the diploma papers. This qualification is recognised nationally and globally by financial institutions and banks and obtaining the diploma demonstrates advance expertise in private client services. Cassandra has been involved in Private Client work since she qualified in November 2005 an area in which she now has a wide-ranging brief including preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney, Wills and inheritance tax planning, Trusts (including trust administration) and administration of Estates. She is also experienced in dealing with Court of Protection and Public Guardianship cases. Cassandra has also dealt with a number of contentious Probate cases including challenging the validity of Wills, disputes between Executors and beneficiaries and Inheritance disputes. After gaining a degree in law and sociology from the University of Hull, Cassandra went on to train and qualify as a solicitor with a firm in Yorkshire, where she played a key part in the local law society and in particular was the training officer for solicitors and headed up the campaign for regulation of Will Writers. Out of work Cassandra enjoys socialising with friends and family, skiing and keeping fit. She also plays the clarinet and enjoys skiing and keeping fit at her local gym. Cassandra is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, an independent, national organisation of lawyers who provide specialist legal advice for older and vulnerable people, their families and carers.
