Shacklocks LLP Support National Seat Belt Campaign

At a time when British road deaths without seat belts reach record levels, Shacklocks LLP are proud to support the Police and Crime Commissioner’s National Seat Belt Campaign (running until 24th March 2019).

Statistics show that in a crash you’re twice as likely to lose your life if you don’t wear a seat belt and Reported Road Casualties Great Britain recently released figures stating that more than a quarter of vehicle occupants who died in 2017 were not wearing a seatbelt. Failure to wear a seatbelt also increases your risk of serious, often life-changing injury.

During 2018, Nottinghamshire Police recorded 317 offences of vehicles either being driven without a seat belt being worn or a where a child was being transported whilst incorrectly restrained.

Shacklocks LLP’s dedicated Personal Injury Team have over 20 years’ collective experience assisting people who have suffered life changing injuries, and sadly some families who have lost loved ones as a result of road traffic accidents. Cases in which an injured person was not wearing a seatbelt often involve complex legal arguments and the experience of our dedicated Personal Injury team will help to ensure that you secure the compensation that you or your loved one deserve.

If you or a loved one have been involved in an accident, contact Linzie Viles, on 01623 626141 or at to discuss how we may be able to help.
