Tripping and slipping

Tripping or slipping accidents can happen almost anywhere, but commonly people trip, slip or fall on uneven surfaces, on food spillages in supermarkets, restaurants or shopping centres, or tripping on hazards such as loose wires, packaging or items blocking an aisle or as a remit of premises being poorly maintained or in disrepair.

Whilst this list is not exhaustive if you injure yourself as the result of a trip, slip or fall you may be entitled to compensation. Local Councils have a duty to maintain roads and pavements to a reasonable standard.

People should be able to use premises that are accessible to the public, such as a shop, safely as shop owners are under a similar duty to ensure that the public can use their premises safely.

If you or a family member has been involved in a trip, slip or fall please contact us to discuss how we can help.
