What happens when a partnership ends or when a partner wants to leave along with his share of the assets? How do you decide how things are split without it having a major impact on your business or ability to start again?

A historic case from the Shacklocks archive details a dispute between two partners of a farming business. The dispute was, as one can imagine, how much each partner would get on realisation of the assets. To make matters worse whilst the dispute was being discussed the current years crops were due to be harvested and the dispute was holding up the harvest and sale of the crops causing financial difficulty for both partners.

We were able to use our expertise to enable the crops to be harvested and sold whilst the partnership was being dissolved to enable financial liquidity to ease the burden on both partners.
