Financial Disclosure

Our client was a European National married to a British Citizen. During divorce proceedings the husband was asked to voluntarily disclose his financial position in order to try and reach a settlement on agreed terms.

The husband not only refused to co-operate with providing information regarding his assets and two businesses but also ultimately lied to the court about his position to try and defeat the client’s claim.

By issuing court proceedings and applying for the husband to be committed to prison we were able to force him to come clean about his assets and we were able to obtain for the client a settlement significantly more substantial than she could have hoped for had her husband been honest from the outset.
