Lost Title Deeds

Our clients wanted to sell their property but when the time came they realised that their title deeds were lost or missing.

The difficulty was that the original owner of the property had passed away and had left 50% to his wife and 25% each to his two children.

In addition one of the children had also passed away and so his share had passed to his wife.

We were able to prepare statutory declarations which to our clients’ great relief were accepted by the land registry enabling us to register the land showing the correct entitlements and secure everyone’s interest by a Declaration of Trust as to the shares in which the property was held.
